Hi, I wonder if anyone can help me solve this problem.  When I right click
to open a new folder, or to rename a file, my pc freezes and I have to close
down.   This happens every time.  It has only just started to do it.  I have
Windows 98 SE.

Very grateful for any help.

Have you recently installed a file system helper or similar utility that has
installed itself as a right-click (or context) menu option?  The freezing
indicates a problem with something that would be listed on the right-click
menu and which does some checking or initialization before it displays the
menu entry.
