I have no idea what they are talking about, or what file. Thank you again. Liz

OK. That file is named WOL558.vxd, not W0L558.vxd (it's a capital OH, not a
zero.)
As far as I can tell, that's an Intel network interface card (NIC). May be a
card or it may be "onboard", built into the motherboard. Might even be an
Intel chipset built into some other brand card. Now, do you have any
connections on the back of your computer for a network cable? (Looks like a
telephone jack only wider.) If so, do you use it? If so, I suggest you go
into Device Manager (System Properties) and remove the Network Adapter named
Intel something-or-other. Or it could have an entirely different name. Just
don't remove Dial-up Networking adapter.
If you don't use it, instead of Removing it, go into its Properties and
disable it.
Does any of that help?

Click 'Start' select 'Run', type in 'regedit'.
The 'Registry Editor' will pop-up on the screen.
Select 'Registry' and 'Export' and save for backup.
Select 'Edit' and then select 'Find'.
In the 'Find' dialog, type in 'wol558.vxd' and click on the 'Find'
button.
The 'Registry Editor' will search for this file. If you can find this
file, just delete this line and exit from this menu.
Finally, restart your system.
