Windows 98 restarts after shutting down.

I am having a problem of windows restarting itself instead of shuting down,
I tried to shutdown by pressing start and then selecting shutdwon but it
restarts. Is there any fix to this problem?

Run msconfig.exe, general tab, advanced button. Mark the "Disable fast
shutdown" box because it can cause shutdown to work too fast and a reboot is
the result. If the entry does not exist or if it is already marked, visit
the cite Alan mentioned.
