Hello everyone,
I need help bad! my computer was running on windows 98 without any problems,
I decided to upgrade to windows me; everything was working well after that.
Then a friend of mine’s gave me his windows xp cd and I tried upgrading
windows me to xp but the process stalled almost at the end of the
installation. I figured that my computer was not xp upgradeable. So I
restored my computer to it’s original factory setting of windows 98 but
before the installation was complete a message came up displaying:
“An error occurred loading”
A small window pop’s up and reads: The file may not have been installed or
it has been corrupted.
C:progra 1\common1\system\wab 32. dll”
C:program1\outloo 1\oeimport. dll”
C:program1\ common 1\ msoe. dll”
Now my Internet Explorer and Outlook stopped working, should I install
windows me to fix the problem or will my system carry this error onto windows
me?

Please help! :(

Sounds like the install CD that contains these files is damaged in the
physical area of the CD or is dirty.

Exactly *how* did you restore your computer to it’s original factory setting....did
you use a recovery CD that came with the computer?  Did you format and wipe out
everything, or did you use another option?
