My computer crashed the other day due to a power outage.  It was running 2000
but when I tried to reload 2000, it came up with a bunch of IRQ errors on
installation so I tried a fresh load of 98SE just to get the computer up and
running.  Upon the last reboot after the hardware install is complete, I
receive a msgsrv32 error and the computer then locks up.  The machine has a
2.0 Ghz Celeron w/256MB RAM on an AOpen MX46-533V motherboard.  The hard
drive is a WD Caviar 300AA 30GB (5400 rpm, ATA 66) HDD.  Any suggestions on
what I can do to fix this problem?  I have tried reloading 98 a bunch of
times and come up with the same error.

What's the exact error message you receive?

Ron,

The exact messege is MSGSRV32 caused a segment not present fault in module
SETUPX.DLL at 0002.000056ff.  It was also followed by a bunch of register and
byte numbers.

Thanks for the help.
