My reply is at the bottom of your sent message:

I include it because I don't want you to have to search to find it and I
conform to the usenet standards.
Did you run the command? That will tell them the information that they
wanted to know. If it doesn't then they will happily post back requesting a
third party tool and at that point I'll provide them with one if I can. Ron
already has done so though and when given the choice I'm one for minimalist
approaches.
It is not preaching - it's to ensure that there is a simplistic message that
shows where my response will be. There are people who believe in top
posting, there are other people who believe in bottom posting, and I am of
the latter group but in order to ensure readability I provide the
information as to where they can expect my reply. I hardly see it as
snobbish - though I suppose this message is but what do you really expect?
Believe it or not I do respect your opinion. While it's not going to change
my posting habits - which have been the same including the message as to
where to find my reply for a very long time now - you're certainly free to
have your opinions and to voice them. When opting to do so you might want to
consider addressing the question the OP had rather than disrupting the flow
of the group. If you had a viable alternative then you could have felt free
(and comfortable enough) to post the response to the OP.
You're correct. Some MVPs post on the top, some post on the bottom. Some of
them intersperse too. Some of them don't post in here at all but write
books. Some of them drive white cars. Some of them are female. Some of them
even *gasp* use *NIX variants. When you judge me please do not judge the
rest of the MVPs or feel that I in any way represent the other MVPs or
Microsoft. We MVPs are all unique in many ways, we conform to no standards
and we have no real rules other than the basics of humanity and the goal to
help people with computer problems.
Anyhow, thank you for sharing your feelings and for not being vulgar about
it. That is something that I do appreciate. You stated exactly how you felt
and why and while that doesn't mean I'll be altering my posting methods any
time soon it does mean that you took the time to express your opinion and
did so without causing me any problems or, hopefully, offending anyone.

Yes, under System info, it just says AMD 2200+ but not the actual speed it is
running.
Further down ( Components/System/CPU it says it is a Pentium Pro.

I guess that comes from reading some other NGs where you're berated if you top
post.
Sorry.
