DOS Reset of Windows 98 Display

Because I cannot appear to fix a oversized display problem from within
Windows 98 itself, is it possible to reset the display from DOS?

No - but you may be able to do what you
want via Safe Mode.

yep.
hit F8 while booting up
and select safe mode
