Rwin Settings

Reading an old tip file, it suggested that I change my RWin setting.  It
gave the following to change:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\VxD\MSTCP\DefaultRcvWin
dow from "5840 to "32767"

Any thoughts on whether this would be good or not?

I have experimented with that and other related registry settings years ago
and I could not see that they made a bit of difference for an analog modem.
Look for a file (say 1 mb or so) that can be downloaded from your ISP (not
other servers) and time the download.  Change the settings and time the
download.  Any difference?

dwnld the DRT util
take speed test, then Tweak, Use DRT to change RWin and other items, then
speed test again to see diff
