Hi, I am running windows 98se on an older computer I have 600 mb ram and 40gb
hard drive.  computer runs fine except I just recently lost the right click
new text, from my right click menu.  there are others there but that one
isn't working anymore (not there).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.  I use right click alot for creating
a new plain txt document.

TweakUI / New
may restore this the way you want.

To expand on Don's recommendation:

Tweak UI is available from:
http://www.microsoft.com/ntworkstation/downloads/PowerToys/Networking/NTTweakUI.asp
Right-click the TweakUI .inf file and select install.  Should a notice
appear saying a disk is required, click OK and another screen appears. Click
browse, go to the folder containing Tweak and click OK and OK.

Tweak's New tab may help with this problem.  If Text is listed but not
marked, mark it.  If it is not listed, add a template.  If you need more
info, left click the ? in the right corner and then left click the New
window.
