Network problem, also

2 computers,  win 98 SE
just getting each computer to see the web is complicated as it holds onto
one IP and ignores the other, until this is changed by pwr down and
disconnect to sw to the other IP.

i figured that a hub would solve this problem and just plug in the modem
output to the input of the hub and the run the cat 5 from the hub outlets to
the NIC inputs on the 2 computers.  didn't work for both;   either one OK,
but not both.

Is ICS a better bet for using one IP addr?     3 NICs, 2 each on main
computer: one for modem and one to connect to the other computer's NIC.
