Hello,

I have a Windows 98 SE computer set up for shared drive access.  Every
once in a while an application running on another computer will
misbehave and freeze. The file that was being shared on the Win98SE
machine will still be seen as in use or open. Is there a utility or
way to view all open files on this machine and be able to close the
files without restarting the machine?

Thanks

Try Alt+Ctrl+Del then choose Explorer and click End Task. Now wait a few
seconds for Explorer to reopen. I quit using Explorer a long time ago. Now I
use a freeware app, 2Explorer from http://www.netez.com/2xExplorer

I left out a step. After choosing end task you see the quit massage. Press
cancel and Explorer will restart.
