Upon start-up or re-boot I receive the following messages
concerning the "msinfo.exe" file:
*cannot find the file or a component
*confirm path & filename are correct and libraries are
available
*did not load or run "msinfo" as specified in the WIN.INI
*make sure the file exists and if it does remove the
reference in the WIN.INI
The file is there, and the path is the one that's
specified in the WIN. I tried removing the reference, as
stated in point #4, and that didn't work. I cannot tell
if the all the libraries are available as stated in point
#2. I also believe this problem is leading to another
message about a possibly corrupt IEDLL.EXE file.
The computer was bought from Computer Reniassance, which
they don't give out the OS disc with the computer. What
do I need to do? Are any of the later Windows
versions "msinfo" files compatible with W98SE? Thanks for
your time. Please email me back at the above address.

There should be no reference to such a file as msinfo.exe in Win.ini
Remove it, unless you know exactly what it is. Repost with the exact
line in Win.ini if in doubt.
I have no idea what you mean by "point #4 " or "point #2" and if you
are referencing another post, then please either quote the post or
stick to the original thread.
Read here for the IEDLL.EXE scumware:
