I just got my computer back after a week and a half of it
being in the shop with two (2) extremely computer
intelligent men working on it, because all the sudden
nothing was working right and I began losind data
files/programs.
Come to find out, the computer had contracted several
viruses, two of which were SoBig and Blast (?) worms.  I
find it a little disturbing that one of these,I have
found, is not suppose to be able to affect Windows 98
systems.  Well, it did!
I am still trying to get all my stuff going in the right
direction and am having to work through some weird things.

It may well be that the SoBig virus was on your computer, but that doesn't
mean that it infected it.
The two men who worked on your machine should be able to tell you what
really messed it up.

Interesting.  What other virii? Were they able to recover all your personal
data?  Was an OS reinstall needed?
