This is the third time I've posted this msg. Please
someone help!! I've contacted Canon and they say its
definitely an OS problem. Does anyone have any ideas
please? ......
I recently connected a Canon i560 printer to my desktop
via USB cable. Operating system is windows 98SE. When
trying to print I get the error message:
CJMON caused a general protection fault in module user.exe
at 0012:00001b1b

I also get a msg stating'BJ Background monitor failed to
start. Install correct printer driver again. But when I
try to uninstall, I get msg BJ printer related file in
use. Exit the currently running application then try
again. So I have to switch off computer and start again,
which allows me to uninstall. I do everything in the right
order, (unplugging all connections, closing down other
applications, adding software first)
then the printer works. But as soon as I switch off then
on again, the problem returns!! It is driving me mad.
The other fault I've had is invalid page fault in module
krnl386.exe at 0001:0000269a. I've gone into system.ini
file and put a ; in front of any 386 line as recommended
somewhere!! Please help, I cant spend half my life
uninstalling and installing the printer each time I switch
the computer on!!! thanks Jane

If no one answer you try next:
1. If you can try it on other machine with same drivers, if same happen
again, then probably it is driver.
2. If you don't have possibilities to try it on other computer, reformat
hard disk, all partiotions, then reinstal os, and then install printer, if
problem come again, then again probably it is driver problem
3. Try just reinstall windows, but this don't have to mean nothing, maybe it
can help, just maybe if you have luck, but under Murphy law, it will not
help.
Error which you get is almost immpossible to fix, and it is hard to know
cause...
