printer does not print test page

i have compaq ij300 printer.it doest not print anything at
all.simply blank page prints.i tried using a new
cartridge,still no good.even the test page is not printing.
can anyone help me?

Did you get your problem solved? And if so, how? My
husband's printer is a ij600 and it is doing almost the
same thing. The only difference is, it doesn't print
anything in black but in Adobe Photodeluxe. It prints
colors fine but not black. It goes through the process of
printing but spits out blank pages. The ink cartridge is
fine. Adobe Photodeluxe doesn't hesitate about printing in
black. I went into pinter setup and changed the paper
setting to photo paper and then the print test page would
print but still other applications will not print in
black. If you have any ideas please let me know. Kathy

I am having the same problem with my IJ600. Are you running XP? I feel like
throwing the thing away.
