I am having the same exact problem. I am using Epson
Stylus 600. If you find a solution to this problem , can
you please email me, as I will you? Thank you Janice>

I too have suddenly started getting this problem since yesterday -
Epson 600 and Win98 SE. Re-installed drivers, defragmented disk (as
suggested somewhere else.
Surely it can't be a co-incidence that we have all suddenly started
getting this problem at the same time?

Whilst trawling through various search engines and support sites, I
have found a work around that works for me, though I have no idea
why!!!
If I Ctrl-Alt-Del to bring up a task list of running programs and end
the Rundll32 task, the printer works fine.
Maybe this will give a clue to someone more knowledgable who might be
able to explain why this works and what I could do for a more
permanent fix.
Interested to know if this works for anyone else on this thread.

Dear Jeff,
Thanks to your ingenious solution, my printer is now working again.
It took a week, so I am very grateful for your suggestion.

Interesting, my printer is an Epson Stylus Photo on plain Win98. Could it be
an Epson issue????
BTW, the Rundll32 work around works for me too.
