my computer went into safe mode for no apparent reason I
was able to regain access to email and internet but can't
print due to my computer still remaining in what looks
like safe mode resolution.
Help!

There is a difference between video resolution and safe mode.  A poor video
resolution should not prevent you from printing but being in safe mode
would.  Does it say Safe mode on the four corners of your display?  If not,
then you may simply need to reinstall the video driver.  Check with the
manufacturer for the most recent video driver for your display adapter.  See
this article for help with the display problem.
