I am unable to print envelopes. Continually blocked by
Epirpe20 which suggests system is performing an illegal
action and will be shut down. I'm using Word in Windows
98/Epson stylus color 640. Can still print pages
using "FILE". So far I've downloaded the latest printer
driver from Epson's home page but this has made no
difference. The printing system has worked well for years
until now!

Mary or Brian, did you get any further help on this problem? I have been
having the problem also. The error message is intermittent, sometimes I can
print with absolutely no problem, then all of a sudden I get the "illegal
operation" error box, and it completely shuts down my computer. So far, the
only thing I have been able to do is a hard shutdown by powering off, then
restarting and waiting for the disk check process to complete due to improper
system shutdown. This is a big problem and apparently you guys got no help
from Epson.
Thanks. Doug Thomas douginrrnm@yahoo.com
