HP3330 multifunction printer on lpt1
go into dos program to enter some stuff for printing and after 15 seconds or
so the (what we will call) header spits out.
tried every which way on all printer settings but still can't get it to
work.
Tried nearly all the alternate drivers like laserjet Series II etc.
found some stuff for win2k for increasing timeouts but don't know if it will
work in win98se

one web page said to do this for a win98 pc:
After [386]Enh block put extra lines:

[Network]
PrintBufTime=10

[IFSMGR]
PrintBufTime=10

I'll try tomorrow but came here to ask the question just in case it don't
work.

Thanks!

well it is solved by installing the printer on a workstation that does not
print out of the dos program and incorporating the net use lpt2:
\\server\share command in the batch file to start the program.
Will be testing a router/print server because the local pc just might want
to print in the dos program one day.
Thanks.
