First determine if there is a problem with local printing on this computer.
Low disk space is one possible cause of slow printing. See this article for

Patty,
Thanks...I did the basic troubleshooting prior to posting. Yes I can print
locally from the machine that has the printer connected directly.
This issue id the IPC$ share I can initially connect to the printer and
print fine from another pc but then upon trying to print again later I get
prompted for the IPC$ share password. The IPC$ Share is Inter-Process
Communication it is used for data sharing between applications and computers,
typically there is no user interaction with this share.
