When I print a file, sometimes the top line of text, on a page other than
page 1, is either missing or only "the bottom part" of the line is  printed.
I
tryed changing the top and bottom margins but that did not solve the
problem. Any suggestions?

What printer model? Have you checked your printer's feed mechanism? Is it
pulling the stock correctly? Is your printer driver current?

You say "sometimes" this happens.  Is it always the same file type that you
are printing or does this happen with any file that is printing multiple
pages?

If it's only one file type, what file type has the problem?  If it's only
one file type then the program to do the troubleshooting in is the one that
uses this file type.

I have noticed the problem when using either a Lexmark or a HP printer.

I often change the font size. Could changing the font size cause the problem?
Could changing the top and/or bottom margin cause the problem?

If you have a similar problem with two different printers from two different
manufacturers, then you can pretty much exclude the printer as the cause.

Does it happen in one application only, or several applications?  If more
then one application, then I would guess it's somewhere in the interface and
cable, as that's the only remaining common factor.  Eg, check the BIOS
setting for the port mode, or try a different cable..

One thing that is in common is that I am printing web pages.
