Can anyone tell me where I can find a driver and software for a ScanJet 5590
which is 98 supported?

I bought this model on the understanding that it was 98 compatible but when
it arrived the documentation said support ceased in 2007.

Surely someone will have the driver somewhere? Maybe.

Did you try to run the software?

Bought it from whom? Can you take it back? Windows 98 or 98SE?

Don't know where you'll get the software, but after inspecting the guts of
this download, this package of basic TWAIN drivers, it might work. What you
do is use WinZip to unzip the package into a folder, then attach the scanner
and turn it on, and when asked for drivers, point to the folder. It just
might work.

I doubt, however, that it will install all the support software

Hi. When I tried to run the software that came with it, it came up with an
error message saying my OS is not supported.
I bought it from a very reputable IT company, don't want to name names. I
could send it back but my user needs a scanner, so I will try your suggestion
first and then look at returning it if it doesn't work.
