Capturing prn or lpt1 port

I have a windows 98 system with a couple of DOS based
programs that send printer output to the prn (lpt1)
parallel port. I have just purchased a printer that hooks
to a usb hub. Is there anyway to use windows to capture
print output to the lpt1 port and send it to the usb hub?

It is definitely possible that you may not be able to print to the USB
printer from you DOS applications.  See this article for more information:
