Hello,
Having recently installed a printer on a win 2000 server,
I have several 98se machines that cannot print to the net
printer after having tried every possible driver
arrangement on each of the machines. The error I get
is 'There was an error writing to (pathname, Printer
name), access code invalid' . other win 2000 machines have
no problems printing thru the network to this printer. Any
clues?

Make sure that each user has an account on the Win2000 machine or that the
guest account is enabled and has the right to print.

Sorry I don't have a solution for you. However, I am
experiencing the same problem. I have set up a shared
network printer for Win 98 machine on a windows network
and get the same error message. I'll let you know if I
find a solution. Note: I have no problems printing to
this printer when it is setup as a local printer.
