Reformatting Hard Drive

Hi,
I've been having a series of system faults / errors in
Windows recently.  I've also been told it's a problem that
will only be corrected if I format my hard drive &
reinstall everything.

My question is if I FORMAT the hard drive, will this
remove the hard disk partitions & will I have to re-create
them?  Also, what's the special "system" format for hard
drives these days... haven't done many these days :>).

Before you start formatting partitions, I recommend you fully document
your problems and make some newsgroup posts.  Perhaps we can fix
whatever is wrong.  If you need some help on the post:
