Having not changed anything with my system Windows 98 (2nd
Edition) 2 weeks ago began to give me the following
message upon start up.
Cannot find a device file that may be needed to run
Windows or a Windows application.
The Windows registry or SYSTEM.INI file refers to this
device file, but the device file no longer exists.
If you deleted this file on purpose, try uninstalling the
associated application using its uninstall or setup
program.
If you still want to use the application associated with
this device file, try reinstalling that application to
replace the missing file.
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\Iosubsys\BsUDF.VXD
Press a key to continue_
Once I press a key my windows opens up. I have reinstalled
my Windows, even though I never uninstalled anything. I
still get the above message upon restart and every time I
start up now. I am not a very technically gifted user and
my OEM is out of business. I'd appreciate anyone can give
me to try and get this problem solved. How do I know what
device file is now missing and how do I reinstall it?
Heck, why did the device file dissapear in the first place?

BsUDF.VXD is part of your CD-RW burning program, try uninstalling and
reinstalling it
