I tried the www.bootdisk.com. I downloaded the info for
Windows 98 startup. Then to a floppy. I typed in COPY
HIMEM.SYS C:\WINDOWS. I got the following message:
"Non-system disk or disk error. Replace & press any key
when ready". I did that and got this message: "VFAT
Device Initialization Failed. A device or resource
required by VFAT is not present or is unavailable. VFAT
cannot continue loading. System halted." Does anyone have
anymore suggestions? I think the VFAT Device has to be
loaded after the IFSHLP.SYS. I am missing that file also.

This is NOT the time for a lesson in DOS, take it to a shop
or get a qualified friend to look at it for you.
