I have a computer with windows NT installed. Want to
install windows 98 se. Re-formated hard drive, then tried
re-installing 98 se from cd form. Comes up with missing
system files (.dll). What is the best way to install 98 se
on a formated hard drive?

One solution that I use is to copy the win98 cab files to a folder on the
HDD,
and run setup from there.
You can then leave the cabs on C: and file the win98 CD away.

Formatting the drive is not enough. You have to remove all the partitions
as W98 cannot use NTFS partitions. Once wiped, you will need to create one
or more fat 32 partition and format it/them.
Zap or Wipe freeware will remove all partition information so you can start
over fresh with FDisk. Download here:
