I have Windows 98 Second Edition. I went to check under
Start, Programs, Accessories, System Tools, System
Information. When I clicked on System Information, it told
me I have a missing .DLL file - MSVCRT40.DLL. Can someone
please tell me how to restore this file. Thanks so much.
My email address is BROBERT943@aol.com.
Thanks,
Cindy
You can restore it from your Win98 SE CD using SFC.
(Start-Run-SFC and extract one file)
You can also extract it directly from the CD from WIN98_37.CAB

Would this work to restore MSIDATD.DLL? I am getting an
error MSIDNTLD.DLL was loaded but the DLL RregisterServer
entry point was not found.
What is PView and how does one use it? Are there detailed
instructions somewhere?
Thanks...

No, it wouldn't as MSIDATD.DLL is not in the Win98 SE CD and I am not
familiar with that file.
I suggest you start a new thread and supply exact details, including
what you were doing when you received the error message and why you
are asking about something called PView.
If the problem is with Outlook Express, then you should post to:
