Hi, i have had to run windows 98 setup over the win98 version already
installed on my machine - everything works fine device wise, display adapter
fine etc after installing drivers again - but the only thing i can't seem to
get to work is the network card even though there is no conflicts or
anything in the device manager i have even checked that it is the correct
driver for the card and the network name is correct,

Any help on this would be appreciated.

can you ping localhost form a DOS prompt?
If so your card is OK

can you ping 66.102.11.104 ? (its ww.google.com)
if so its the DNS   that is broken
