Hi,

Is it possible to reinstall Windows 98 over a previous installation, AND to
keep the already  installed applications settings?

(My aim is to restore all the original setting regarding the system itself
and be sure that all the windows components are not corrupted).

What do you mean 'ran through every thing'? Did you run the setup procedure?

Did you look at the instructions on the site I referenced?   Exactly what
step in this procedure are you having a problem with?
