My Floppy disk is damaged!!!

I just put bought a new graphics  card along with a new case and periphs...
I tried to install the Windows 98SE which originally came with my system
but, failed to suceed. I some how managed to delete files, corrupt them and
now ...
the system remains in Dos mode which, will not allow the CD to run.
As for the foppy .. everytime it gets used it seems to eat away at all the
rest of my files. Can some please help??

You cannot delete or corrupt files on the original instal CD.

In order to run in DOS (normal when installing the
Win98 operating system) CONFIG.SYS has to load
the appropriate DOS drivers to enable the CD drive(s.)

If what you say happens, the floppy and perhaps your
hard drive have been contaminated by a virus.

When you have a virus-free PC you can download the
correct DOS boot floppy from www.bootdisk.com
