Floppy Drive Does a Seek at Shutdown

What dio I need to do to perevent the floppy drive from coming on to
seek a disk at shutdown.  It only recently started to happen.  Please
help.

Most likely it is antivirus, that checks if the diskette is inserted --
to prevent the potential virus infection if this diskette is bootable.

Mikhail is correct.  If you really want to stop this behavior, you can
probably configure your anti-virus not to check the floppy on shutdown by
looking for options or preferences within the antivirus program.
