After installing Windows 98 second edition, Windows could not find many of
its own files towards the end of the installation. (Files such as:
vnetbios.vxd, ndiswan.vxd, icmp.dll, dhcpcsvc.dll. Also .hlp and .sys files)
It was expecting to find the files in C:\windows\system\precopy. In this
state Windows will boot up, but with limited functionality.
Suggestions?
Thank you.

Thank you for your reference. Running the setup again got the files copied
right and everything worked.
