How Do I Fix Norton AV to Stop Floppy spin

I need to adjusty NAV so that the fop[lly drive does not spin each
time an application is used. Also it spins when I shutdoen.  where
dies one fix this?  Is it in the ini file or where?

I have no idea but someone here just MIGHT know. However, if they don't know
then you might want to check with Norton's support system as this newsgroups
is geared towards setting up Windows 98 which, by default, doesn't have
Norton included in it.

Am using NAV2004.  I right click the NAV icon in the system tray, then
select configure.  Then I click auto protect.  Then I select advanced.
There are 3 separate and independent options regarding floppy drives in this
menu.
"Scan floppy disk for boot viruses every time its mounted"
"Scan floppy in A: for boot viruses when shutting down"
"Scan all additional floppies on shutdown"

Another way to locate this menu is to open NAV, and select options.  The
menu after selecting configure above works the same way.

I do recall previous versions of NAV were quite similar.

Note: this will work on Zip and LS-120 drives configured as "A:" or "B:".
