i installed win98se on a 2nd hard drive for a dualboot (first xp) i had to
skip MANY "cant find drivers for" (i disconnected xp drive just to make sure
nothing in it was touched) now that i think about it, i guess i could have
had setup look in it for drivers, but i'm still a novice, and dont want to
take the chance, unless someone can tell me it would be allright-not even the
dvd rom is recognized, not to mention ethernet card, or should i say no
drivers for them-the only drive recognized and working is the floppy-exactly
where do i put the drivers for win98 to find them?figured i'd copy them to
floppy and go from there-

Have you tried adding the drivers for the devices after Windows is
installed? If so, what happens when you try, and what problems are you
running into getting W98 to find the drivers? If not, then that's the place
to start.

What you can do is bootup to XP...
then make a folder on your win98 partition called "drivers" (for example)
then go to www.driverguide.com and download the drivers you need for your
devices
such as eithernet card.
then boot back to win98 and install all the devices that do not have
drivers.
Your dvd-rom should, however, be recognized by windows
