Hi,

I'm having problems with a Pentium-266/98MB RAM booting Win98. It
never reaches the desktop and freezes in the Win 98 logo screen with
the blue progress bar beneath.

Upon restarting it will sometimes offer a menu offering several
options to boot. I've tried two:

1) Safe mode. Upon entering I run Norton's Disk Doctor and reboot.
Freezes again in normal mode.

2) Normal mode with logfile. It freezes in the same point and no
logfile is generated.

What else can I try?

Where are you looking for the boot log?  It is a hidden text file in the root of
C:\, named Bootlog.txt   You must set your View settings from within Safe Mode, to
Show All Files (Start> Settings> Folder Options>View tab)
