Repair an old diskette?

Got a used program from 1997.. one diskette seems (lit) stuck...
the little window desn't open up that freely

Once you get it open, make a copy of it.  Seems like this is too obvious,
however, so I am wondering if there is more to your question.

Well.. eventually the little aluminum window fell off after all my
fiddling..indeed it got stuck inside the drive (fished it out, drive
ok now).. but it still doesn't read.. the PC refuses to see anything
on the flopyy..

Do any of the Norton utilities work for this?
