I had a home network between a Pentium4 running XP Pro and a Celeron 1.2mhz
running W98 2E. I've just swapped the Celeron chip for a genuine PIII 1mhz
chip and now I can't re-establish the network. The PC itself works fine. If I
try to set up a shared  folder on the PIII I get a windows error messsage
which says "Windows cannot retrieve Access Control List for this device"

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Ken G.

Don't use user-level access control (Access Control in Network Properties).
