Hi,
Please Help. Tried to install HP 2100C on a powerfull
Win98SE machine. Although HP Diagnostics correctly ID's
the machine as a Win98SE Build 4.10 (2222) A the
downloaded and original install program says that it is
not either Win98 or ME and exits.

What did H-P support have to say about it?

HP said to run the diagnostic software, download the
lasted set of drivers, unhook the scanner, uninstall the
old software (not there of course) delete all files
named "scanjet" "hpsj" and "hpsc" (did find two files)and
then install in safe mode.  Same result: "This Program
Requires Windows 98 or Windows ME."  I've just emailed
them back with the results.
