Page Fault!

I have a problem in regards to a page fault when i switch
my system on.

There is a dialogue box which pops up and states:

"this prog has perfomed an illegal op and will be shut
down. Explorer caused an invalid page fault in
module 'Explorer.Exe @ 0177:00401F31.'" and plus there is
a Stack Dump.

Can anyone please suggest how i might resolve this problem?
