Scandisk Error

Every time i run scandisk for windows 98se, it will crash
my computer.  It will complete the scan, and then
instantly kernel32 caused invalid page fault, and then
following that explorer crashes.. and i have to manually
shut down my computer.  Any help would be appreciated.

Please post the *exact* error message(s) and what was going on when
it/they appeared.  If there is a details button, click it and post that
message verbatim--the registers are not required.
