I have an IBM Aptiva that is a couple of years old and
Windows 98.  Whenever I open Windows Media Player (9
series) and click on the "now playing" tab, windows
freezes.  The mouse still moves, but I cannot open task
manager.  I recently did a virus scan and an ad-aware scan
so I do not think these are the problems.  Has anyone else
encountered this problem and does anyone have a solution?

NOt having it, and I doubt having any plans to, I would wager that it is a
resource hog and as a result will freeze.
