I'm running Windows 98 Second Edition.  Each time that I
attempt to shutdown my computer I receive the
following message:
A fatal exception Oe has occurred at
0028:C022A27A8 in VXD
VWIN32(05)+000012DO.  The current application will be
terminated.

* Press any key to terminate the current application.
* Press CTRL + ALT + DEL again to restart your computer.
You will
lose any unsaved information in all applications.

  Press any key to continue.

I've tried both options and 50% of the time my computer
doesn't
shutdown and I must manually turn it off.

How can I correct this error??

Click Start>Run, type MSCONFIG and click OK.
On the General tab, click the Advanced button.
Click to put a check mark in the box for "Disable fast shutdown", and click OK.
Click OK to close Msconfig, and restart the computer.

If that does not help, or if the box was already checked or wasn't there, go here:
