if one has win98 in C drive can s/he install winxp in E drive or F drive of
harddisk with win98 running. Will it create any conflict?

When you install XP, you are given the choice to create a dual boot between
the two systems.  For XP questions, you should use an XP newsgroup.

XP questions should be asked in an XP newsgroup.

When you install XP you can choose to either upgrade your existing system or
to install XP as a second system in a different partition.
