I have just installed Mcafee Quickclean v 5.0. I am getting a runtime error
when I try to run it. The Mcafee Tech Chat line tells me I must uninstall it
and reinstall. I have tried to do this several times but now they tell me I
should go into the registry and uninstall from there. I am not happy to do
this as I am not an expert and everybody says you should not do this unless
you know what you are doing. Any suggestions?

Has their Tech Chat given you detailed instructions of what to remove from the
Registry? That is the only way to do it, really....you must know what registry
entries are related to the program. Whatever you do in the Registry, back it up
first, so that you have the current version to fall back to if you make a mistake.
Click Start>Run, type scanregw and click OK. Say yes to back it up.
