Windows Update hangs

I reinstalled Windows 98 and now I can't get Windows
Update to work. I get to the site, select the updates I
want, the Web Page Dialog box comes up, but then it just
hangs there forever (I've left it up for an hour). If I
click "Cancel", I create an error report on rpcrt4.dll

I'm running IE 6.0 Win 98 SE 4.10.2222 A

I installed DCOM98 to try to fix rpcrt4.dll

Any suggestions?
