I have Windows 98 installed on my computer and I need the
second edition to be able to install the components for my
mp3 player.  Is it possible for me to upgrade to Second
Edition without erasing my music files and documents and
will everything still run smoothly if I upgrade.  Also,
where do I go to download the upgrade software?  Or do I
have to buy it in a store...

You have to buy it at eBay or perhaps a computer store.
There is no download.
If you avoid an OEM copy then you should be able to upgrade and keep
everything.
