When i try to open my msconfig.exe file it closes after about 3 seconds. I am guessing there is a start-up setting i need to get to, but i can't. I have tried Ad-Aware and my basic Vrius scan, but nothing seems to work. If it's urgent, then read the responses in your original post!!  SignatureBrian A. Jack of all trades, Master of none. This is usually indicative of a virus or spyware - it is attempting to prevent you from changing the startup programs. Do a full scan with up-to-date virus and spyware scanners.
