I know this is not the right group. But XP group is
either still asleep, looking for left over easter eggs or
out to lunch on another planet. Or all three.
I need to know ...IF...there is a way to retrieve the XP
activation key out of the registry. When my boy got his
activation key from MS over the phone he did not write it
down. He just enterd it asthey told it to him.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
That is not the key required to install the product. Please read this

To obtain the windows product key required to install the product you can
download and run the following little utility: (from winxP)
